A rental keeps the same number for a fixed term and shows every message sent to it. Use one when you need a number to come back to: logging in again later, a platform that re-verifies, or a long-running project.

General or reserved?

General

Reserved for a platform

Receives from

anyone

that platform

Good for

several services on one number

a platform that only accepts its own numbers, like WhatsApp

  1. Open Rentals

In the dashboard, open Rentals and choose Rent a number.

  2. Choose the country, and a platform if you want one

Pick the country. To reserve the number for one platform, choose it; otherwise leave it general.

  3. Choose a term

Each term shows its price and whether it is Renewable. If you might want to keep the number beyond the term, pick a renewable one — not every number can be extended later.

  4. Rent it

The number is yours for the term. Its messages appear on the rental as they arrive, with the code picked out for you.

Get messages without watching

Add a webhook under Developer and every message a rented number receives is sent to your server as it arrives. See Webhooks.

Next: Renewing, resetting and returning.
