Terms of Service
Last updated 15 September 2026
Draft — not legal advice. Written for this specific service, but not reviewed by a lawyer and not localised to any jurisdiction. Have it reviewed before you take real customers or real money.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and the operator of Numera (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are using the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and legally able to enter a contract.
2. What the service is
We rent you temporary and long-term phone numbers and forward the SMS messages they receive. The intended use is receiving one-time verification codes for accounts you are entitled to create.
We are a reseller. Numbers come from third-party carriers and suppliers. We do not own the underlying networks, and availability, delivery and pricing depend on them.
3. Numbers are temporary and recycled
This is the single most important thing to understand:
- A number is reserved exclusively for you for the duration of your order — typically twenty minutes for a one-time number, or the rental period you paid for.
- When that period ends, the number returns to the supplier pool and may be issued to someone else, who will then receive any messages sent to it.
- Numbers may have been used by others before you, and may already be blocked by some services.
Never use one of these numbers as the recovery method, two-factor method, or contact number for an account you intend to keep. If you do and you lose access, that is a foreseeable result of using a temporary number and we are not responsible for it.
4. Shared (public inbox) numbers
Where offered, numbers marked shared are free or near-free because their inbox is a publicly readable web page. Anyone can read codes sent to them. They are labelled as such before purchase. Do not use one for anything you would mind a stranger seeing.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use a number obtained through this service to:
- Commit fraud, or impersonate another person or organisation.
- Evade a ban, suspension, or law-enforcement measure, or circumvent a sanction or export control.
- Harass, threaten, defraud, stalk, or abuse anyone.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, or operate a spam or phishing campaign.
- Create or verify accounts in breach of another service’s terms, or at a scale intended to manipulate a platform (fake reviews, vote manipulation, bot networks).
- Access or verify anything relating to a person under 18.
- Break any law that applies to you or to us, including anti-money-laundering and sanctions law.
We enforce this. Accounts used for the above are closed without refund. We keep records that identify the account, the addresses it connected from, and which numbers it held — see our Privacy Policy — and we provide them to platforms and law enforcement in response to properly-scoped requests.
6. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secret, and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe it has been compromised; you can rotate your API keys and sign out every session yourself from settings.
One person or organisation, one account. Do not resell access to your account.
7. Payment, balance and pricing
The service is prepaid. You add funds to a balance and each order draws it down. Prices are shown before you commit and are charged in full at the moment of order.
Your balance is credit for use on this service. It is not a deposit, it does not earn interest, and unless required by law it is not redeemable for cash. It does not expire.
Prices change with supplier costs and may change without notice. The price you are shown at the moment of purchase is the price you pay.
8. Crypto payments are irreversible
Deposits are made in cryptocurrency. This has consequences you should understand before paying:
- Transactions cannot be reversed. There is no chargeback. If you send funds to the wrong address they are gone.
- Send only the asset and network stated on the invoice. Sending a different asset, or the right asset on the wrong network, will lose it permanently — we cannot recover it.
- The exchange rate is locked for the window shown on the invoice. Pay after it expires and the rate no longer applies; contact us with the transaction id and we will credit what was received at a current rate.
- Underpayments within a small tolerance are credited in full. Larger shortfalls are held and credited manually for the amount actually received.
9. Refunds
Automatic: if a one-time number expires without receiving a code, the full price is returned to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.
On request, before delivery: you may cancel a pending order at any time before a code arrives and be refunded in full.
Not refundable: orders where a code was delivered. The service was performed. This includes cases where the code arrived but the platform you were verifying with rejected the number — tell us anyway using the “didn’t work” button, because that is how we stop routing to that supplier.
Balance withdrawals: we may return an unspent balance at our discretion, less any transaction costs, to a wallet you control. We will not do so where we suspect fraud or where it would breach sanctions law.
10. Availability and no guarantee of delivery
We do not guarantee that a number will be available for any particular service or country, that a code will arrive, that a particular platform will accept a number, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Success rates shown in the product are historical observations, not promises.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud or abuse, or where we are required to by law. Where a closure is for breach, any remaining balance may be forfeited.
You may close your account at any time from settings.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of an account you verified using our numbers; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard before taking effect, and continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, close your account and ask us to return any unspent balance.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the operator’s place of business, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live.
